Sa'eed bin Jubayr said:

Remembrance (dhikr) is obedience (taa'ah). Whoever obeyed Allaah made dhikr of Him and whoever did not obey him then he is not one who remembers (Him), even if he makes abundant tasbeeh and recitation of the Qur'aan.
